INNOVATIVE & SUSTAINABLE: LUNEDELTA

In the south of Bremerhaven, the sustainable commercial area LUNEDELTA is being developed as part of the "Green Economy" project. On an area of 150 hectares, a business park is being created that meets the highest criteria for building land development and sustainable construction.

At the same time, it focuses on a respectful approach to nature and the environment. Companies with a sustainable orientation looking for an attractive place to establish themselves or to expand will find the best conditions to implement ecological principles and realize innovative pilot projects. Immerse yourself in a new era of green and future-oriented business – the LUNEDELTA welcomes you!

Aims of the lunedelta concept

Showcase project for sustainability and quality of life

The LUNEDELTA development concept includes a variety of innovative ideas that make the area a showcase project for sustainability and quality of life. The existing landscape is consciously integrated into the plans: A central vision of the concept is the creation of wide open spaces along the dyke relics. These areas not only offer added landscape value, but also provide ecologically valuable wet meadows and play areas for leisure and sports activities. The entire surrounding area is made accessible by a well thought-out system of paths and invites visitors to explore and relax.

Holistic approach to dealing with water

An outstanding feature of the plans for the LUNE DELTA is the holistic approach to water management. This involves establishing a water cycle that combines rainwater, process water from the buildings and waste water from production. This innovative cycle enables water resources to be recycled. A central role is played by aesthetically designed constructed wetlands, which not only serve to treat the water, but are also harmoniously integrated into the landscape.

Creation of shared resources

Another important aspect of the planning concerns green spaces and parks. Targeted planning and management of development processes within the business park are intended to coordinate the settlements and promote synergies between the companies. Particular attention is paid to the creation of shared resources, known as “commons”. These resources are available to the companies and offer them additional support in their decision to relocate.

PLANNING

The LUNEDELTA project is being planned in line with demand and will be implemented in several stages. Construction of the initial cluster is scheduled to start in autumn of 2024. The green business incubator with workshops, offices and communal areas forms the prelude to the area. It will be built using resource-saving construction methods and is intended to serve as a role model for future commercial settlements.

A particular success: both, the business park and the business incubator, already received awards during the planning phase. The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has awarded both projects the highest award level of "Platinum". This award confirms the exemplary implementation of sustainability criteria and underlines the outstanding quality of the future LUNEDELTA business park. The project is flanked by accompanying publicity measures to encourage further imitation and implementation of climate protection projects throughout Germany and to further promote interest in settling here.

Business incubator LUNEDELTA

The Low German phrase "De Tokamen Tiet"  stands for "the approaching time". It conveys a clear message: it is all about the future. This does not only apply to the innovative building itself, but above all to the companies that will find a home here and keep promoting sustainable business practices.
The bsusness incubator represents the first ground-breaking stage of the sustainable business park LUNEDELTA and serves as a lively gateway to the area. As a pioneering building for start-ups, it sets new standards, particularly with its resource-conserving and energy-efficient design.
