Digitalization

Companion of the future

Strong through digitalization

Digitalization is one of the major social challenges of the present and the future. It is significantly changing many areas of the economy and society. Small and medium-sized enterprises in particular are facing tough competition in this transformation process. All sectors of the economy are affected, from craft businesses and trading or service companies to industrial companies. At the same time, digitalization offers new opportunities for innovation in production and services.

BIS Bremerhaven Economic Development Company supports small and medium-sized enterprises in particular in overcoming future challenges through a range of measures, some of which are implemented in cooperation with network partners in the state of Bremen. These include information, advice and training services as well as financing and funding offers and infrastructure measures.

Digitallotsen – We will gladly help you

The digital pilots support the retail, hospitality and tourism sectors in Bremerhaven and Bremen on the path to digitalisation, e.g. in creating an online presence, a suitable social media presence or developing a digital marketing strategy. Your contact person in Bremerhaven is Michael Arzenheimer. He provides targeted, independent advice at eye level and free of charge - as part of the economic development organisation in the seaside city.

In addition, the BIS colleagues responsible for funding will also provide information on current funding opportunities and competent contacts on the path to digitalisation and also to support digitalisation projects that are already planned.

Model Region Industrial mathematics

What comes to many people's minds when they think about maths? Boring. Unworldly. Cranky. But it's not just industrial mathematicians who now realise that many technical innovations can only succeed through the use of new mathematical methods.

The BMBF-funded innovation and transfer project #MOIN! - Model Region Industrial Mathematics at the University of Bremen, together with partners from industry, aims to sensitise society and industry to the great potential of industrial mathematics. In Bremerhaven, project member Nils Hase will be available to answer any questions you may have about the project.
